(late 2009) were developed as an alternate model that could be made 100% in house; a solution to the more complex bridge production bottleneck and a more “acoustic” plugged in sound devoid of the more electric sound of piezo pickups. While not as acoustically robust as its acoustic model cousin, it does lend well to studio mic as a secondary tracking source. Since 2012, all ElectroCoustics come with an LR Baggs imix preamp that allows its two pickups to be routed to separate channels for mind blowing sound design treatments! Excellent for: Media composers working in a fast paced digital audio workstation environment where DI to interface will allow for hassle free workflow where post effects are limitless. Also, a great live instrument for alternative acoustic approaches! A popular model for sure!
